The unexamined life is one not worth living ~ Plato
The core of the Coaches Toolbox is centered around the assessment of client personality and behaviour and has built in over 15 different assessment tools. Each of these assessments has been designed to be completed by the client, and the results stored for later review and analysis.
The client assessments have been designed to be easily completed in a coaching session by a client, with instant feedback and results available. This allows the coach to get an instant review of their clients current position and ,in the case of the Coaching Suitability, the clients current willingness around certain subjects.
Within the Coaches Toolbox there are over 15 different assessments and deciding upon the right
assessment for a particular task can be a problem. By simply touching on one of the assessments you will be presented with a brief outline of each of the assessments.
Assessments are added to the system at a fairly regular basis, and we are open to suggestions as to what assessments you would like to add to the application. Our objective is to make the Coaches Toolbox a central and useful resources for all coaches.
The assessments within Coaches Toolbox are grouped into several different categories:
We've all come across Personality Assessments (even if you've only seen them in 'lifestyle' magazines) and these assessments try to answer the question 'Who are you?'. There are hundreds of different personality assessments around, however many of them are based on a number of basic tenets, and within the Coaches Toolbox we have included some of the most common and regularly used personality assessments including Enneagram, Jung Personality Types and Emotional Intelligence.
Behavior based assessments are focused on answering the question 'What do you do?' rather than 'Who are you?'. What you do is as important (if not more so) than who you are, and by changing your actions you can dramatically change your life. The behavioral assessments are a great way for coaches to target particular behaviors and show real progress to their coaches.
Knowing Who You Are, and What You Are are important, however from a coaching perspective knowing what is missing, and what a client is unhappy with is a great starting point for the coach. The Lifestyle assessments allow the coach to measure, and more importantly track, where a client feels they are in their lives and how they are progressing. These assessments are probably the most useful in the long term for coaches and clients.
Once you have selected an assessment you will be presented with a simple instruction page telling you what to do to complete the assessment. If you want to save the results then it is important that you select a client BEFORE selecting the assessment as the results will be saved alongside the client. If you just want to run the assessment (and you have no wish to save the data) then just go ahead. (There is a warning dialog to remind you of the need to select a client before continuing with the assessment.
The whole concept behind the Coaches Toolbox assessments is an easy to complete assessment process BY THE CLIENT. After selecting an assessment the user is presented with the first screen of the questionnaire and it is at this point that the application (or phone) should be passed to the client for them to complete.
Each questionnaire is presented in a random order so no two question sequences will be the same, this limits the possibility of changing the results by recalling answer sequences.
Different assessments have different types of questions, sometimes you will just select one item from a list, others require a value to be set from a range, a third type may be multiple choice and another type is a True/False or Yes/No type question. Each question will tell you how to answer the questions.
The questions are presented in an easy to complete, clear and concise sequence which will make things very easy for the coachee to complete.
