Client Centric

As a coach your number one priority is your client, and the Coaches Toolbox makes the client the center for the application by tying all assessments, goals, notes and to-do items to a client.

The client management section of the Coaches Toolbox has been designed to be as quick and easy to use as possible, with the only required information being a name, however if you want to keep more information (such as addresses or telephone numbers) within the application then you can do this too.

Accessing information about a client quickly and efficiently is important to a coach, and the client list screen gives you information about your clients at a glance including the number of assessments, goals, notes and to-do items set up for each client.

The Client

IMG_0160Adding and amending clients within the Coaches Toolbox is quick and easy, and a new client can be added in a matter of seconds, without putting in any more information than their name. Speed and convenience is an important part of the Coaches Toolbox and we have endavoured to make adding clients as simple as possible.

Once you have added a client they will appear on the client list where a simple tap of their name will select them for the rest of you work within the application.

A selected client becomes the central repository for all of the subsequent tasks within the application. It is just like having a folder specifically for each client. and this allows you to use the other tools that come within the Coaches Toolbox.

The application offers 4 basic tools, client assessment, client goals management, client notes management and client to-do management. As can be seen, the application is client centric and therefore is an easy way to keep all of your client information in one place.

Assessments

Coachability Scale

Coaching success is based partly on the ability of the coach and partly on the willingness of the coachee, and this assessment can be used to judge the openness of a potential client to the coaching process.

This assessment returns a basic overview of a clients openness, from closed and unsuitable through to highly suitable for coaching. It is up to the coach to decide where on the spectrum that they wish to accept clients.

Mental Attitude
A Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) has a direct impact upon health, wealth, friends and success.

The PMA of a client will directly affect their motivation, and approach to coaching situations, and this is an ideal evaluation to use for client selection.

Individuals with a low PMA are notoriously difficult to coach, and this assessment will help to detemine whether a client is ready.
Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence or E-IQ has been identified as a greater indicator of success and achievement than education or IQ. The higher the E-IQ, the better an individual can relate to the world and people around them, and the more opportunities they will make for themselves.

This assessment can be used to identify areas for client development, and over time can be used to show real client progress. This is especially useful for the corporate coach where E-IQ has become one of the key indicators for Mangement Development over the last few years.

Jung Style Personality

Variations on this assessment have been used in clinical psychology, recruitment, management assessment and coaching, and is probably the most common type of personality assessment available.

It offers analysis across 4 main areas:

Extroversion/Introversion
Sensing/iNtuiting
Thinking/Feeling
Percieving/Judging

The results of this assessment can be used to identify how an individual will react when put under pressure, or how they integrate in to teams or the social environment.

Enneagram
The Enneagram of Personality is mostly taught and understood as a psychospiritual model of personality types. Each Enneagram personality type expresses a distinctive and habitual pattern of thinking and emotions.

The behavioral characteristics of the personality types are less distinctive. By recognizing their personality pattern a person may be able to use the Enneagram as an effective method for self-understanding and self-development.

Quick Self-Esteem Scale

A simple 10 question self-esteem 'snapshot' questionnaire that gives a good high level indication of how a client is feeling about themselves. If the results of this assessment raise any issues then the longer Self-Esteem assessment would be recommended.

This assessment is useful if one of the objectives is to see an improvement in the levels of self-esteem within a client and is a good way of showing tangible benefits of the coaching process.

Self-Esteem Assessment

A detailed assessment of a clients current level of self-esteem and an indication of which areas need to be worked on the help the client to be more self-assured and improve their chances of success in attaining their objectives.

This assessment is a complimentary assessment to the Quick Self-Esteem Scale and can be used to delve deeper into a clients personality to identify where their lack of self-esteem presents itself in their lives.

Conflict Styles

High achievers have a positive and useful approach to conflict, and often a client will find themselves in conflict with those around them and their ability to take a productive stance will ultimately define whether they achieve their goals or not.

This assessment will highlight a clients preferred approach to conflict situations, and it can be used as a baseline for developing new strategies, or identifying areas of development for a client.

Quick Satisfaction

A very quick and easy assessment designed to guage a clients current level of happiness around the 5 core areas of Health, Wealth, Relationships, Career and Sprituality.

It is an ideal assessment to run at the beginning of a coaching session to identify key areas of dissatisfaction and it can be useful in focusing a coaching session on identifying clear goals.

Motivations

Motivation is critical to success and clients will have a core motivation which pushes them to achieve. This assessment will help you to identify what this core motivation is, whether Social, Goal or Learining oriented motivation.

The results of this assessment can be used to modify the coaching approach and 'mile-stone' development to ensure that the client stays on course to achieve their objectives.

Learning Styles

Based upon the concept of different kinds of learning style, this assessment will help you to identify the best approach to use with your client. Effective communication is a pre-requisite of good coaching and this assessment will show you the most effective way to influence your client to make the changes that they want.

The 3 learning styles are:

Visual - Prefer pictures and diagrams, to see things in action.
Auditory - Likes to be told the how and why of things.
Kinesthetic - Experiential learners and prefer to 'get on and do'.

Stress Levels

A 'snapshot' assessment designed to guage a clients current levels of stress and how it is having a negative impact on the rest of their lives.

Although coaching is useful in many areas, stress management is often better handled by therapists and counsellors and this assessment may hilight that a client requires a different support before coaching can begin.

Assertiveness

Assertiveness is a core skill that is a requirement of the high achiever, all too often individuals fall into a passive, aggressive of passive-aggressive mode which can undermine who they are, and what they want to achieve.

This assessment will identify an individuals main mode of asserting themselves and allow the coach to identify areas for development and support. It can also be used to measure progress in changing behaviour and taking a more pro-active approach to situations.

Manipulation Profile

Often a client will be unable to achieve their goals as they feel that they have to 'help others first', and for some people this is a reflection of how easy they are to manipulate, and who around them is controlling their actions.

This assessment will help to identify just how open an individual is to manipulation, and identfy areas of self-esteem and self-worth that a coach can focus on to help their client achieve their goals.

Zung Depression Scale

Clients often come to coaches because of dissatisfaction with an area of their lives, sometimes however there is an underlying problem that needs to be identified and resolved first...depression. Depression is in fact one of the most common reasons for dissatisfaction, and it is outside of the coaches remit to deal with clients who are medically depressed.

This assessment is useful for identifying clients who are Clinically Depressed rather than just unhappy, and the results can be used to advise a client to seek the right kind of support for their problems, rather than assuming that the coach can help.
